Rooted in Devotion: A Healing Circle for the Conception Journey is a ten-week online therapy group designed for women receiving fertility treatments who want emotional support and somatic therapy strategies to navigate this time.
In this group, participants will:
- Build community with women who share similar experiences.
- Learn trauma-informed somatic practices, including guided self-massage of the breasts and belly, to strengthen connection with the womb.
- Engage in meditations and practices that promote nourishment, resilience, and creativity throughout the fertility process.
Sessions are facilitated by Dr. Brodhecker, who provides a safe, therapeutic space for processing emotions and building coping strategies. Guest speakers will offer insights on nutrition, emotional wellbeing, and resilience.
Group Dates and Times: Ten Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, October 7 to December 16, 2025
Location: Online
Space: Maximum of twelve participants
Referral Information:
Health care providers (physicians or psychologists) may complete the referral form for women interested in joining the group. After a brief phone interview, Dr. Brodhecker will confirm suitability and extend invitations to participants.
These therapy groups are fully covered through Alberta Health Services, as Dr. Brodhecker is a psychiatrist and bills directly—so there is no cost to participants.
